This is phenomenal! My kitten got spayed and unfortunately ended up with an infection and I needed someway to keep her from licking the area and making it worse. I tried the plastic cone, a soft cone and even an inflatable donut on her neck but all left her uncomfortable and unable to clean herself. As a last resort I ordered this and it came in 2 days! I put it on my little princess and she was unbothered by it, was able to move comfortably, use the litter box, clean herself, jump and everything else she normally does but was unable to get to her staples and make her complication worse. I wish I would have gotten this to begin with. I highly recommend this and would have paid double if I would have known what a life saver it was. My vet was highly impressed as well! It fit her perfect (she is about 5 pounds and I got her her a medium) and is so soft and comfortable. It is easy to take on and off and she has been wearing it for nearly 2 weeks now and it is super durable.If you are getting you furry friend spayed or neutered then this is a MUST HAVE! Save yourself (and your beloved pet) the hassle of an annoying cone and get this! A few days after abdominal surgery, my cat kept grooming over the stapled area causing it open. So, he was given a cone to prevent him from grooming his stomach. The cone was awkward in so many ways that it just wasn't going to work no matter how important it was. After a few so-so and disappointing attempts at a DIY outfit, I found this. It works great!The fabric is soft and covers the lower abdominal area so well that me, or the Vet, are not concerned with him reopening the wound again. He had lost weight and is skinny, but because of his long torso, I purchased a large. He has great mobility and isn't restricted, even when jumping onto the furniture. He sleeps and eats in it just fine.Of course it was not his favorite thing when I first put it on. But neither was that horrible cone or my DIY outfits that made him look like a dragon. The only thing I have noticed and is a bit concerning, is that when he grooms his chest or front shoulders, he licks the fabric. He has gotten his teeth caught on it every day and struggled to get uncaught. I'm just glad that I see it to help him. I love this. It kept my cat's bandages on (lower abdomen) and he was able to use the litter box without soiling it. He couldn't slip out of it and seemed comfortable in it. One thing to warn about is that different colors close differently. I ordered blue and it had velcro. Ordered gray and it had snap buttons. A little more difficult as my cat wouldn't stay in place while I snapped them. Overall, a good product. My cat looks small but he's almost 13 lbs in this pic. I got large in both colors.
