I bought two sizes because, I wasn't sure. The medium is too snug for a 13 pound cat but, it does the job, my kitty was OK with it. My cat hates this, but it’s pretty easy to get her into and out of, and it does the trick. Cat nails will easily scratch through the thin fabric, so make sure you keep claws trimmed.
