This suit helped us through a somewhat rough recuperation from double sided mammary surgery. Our girl was in distress almost the entire time she wore a cone and different types of protective shirts. The sizing is way off in my opinion. I have two cats. They are 5 months old. One is 5 pounds and the other is 6 pounds. Both have 12 inch backs. I bought a small and a medium to try each size. The small almost fits but is too big around the body and too short for body length. The medium on the other hand is absolutely huge. Even on my 6 pound kitten. Unless your cat is on the chubbier side, there's no way a medium would fit a 6 pound cat. I would say the circumference needs to be about 4 inches smaller. I still give it three stars, because it is covering the stitches from the spay to prevent them from licking. The material is also nice and soft.
