We bought this suit later during our kitten's spay surgery recovery as she was not taking to the pillow cone very well (a traditional cone alternative). This suit keeps her from licking the wound itself, however, she initially tried to lick the suit where the wound is located underneath. Once she started healing up a bit more, the suit worked well (though it gave her a wedgie).
