UPDATE 5/20/2020:I re-ordered another cat suit to serve as a replacement during laundry days and the new product that arrived lacked the adjustable neck closure that my original one had. This led to the cat suit pulling down and not fitting correctly and I have to keep pulling it back up over my cat's shoulders. The suit is now too large and I even repurchased the smaller size.———Pros:- Fit perfectly! My cat is 7.5 years old and weights 10.5 lbs. She is about 13 inches long from neck to base of tail. I ordered the Large and it fit perfectly. It's like a little hoodie for her, not too tight and not too loose. The back isn't baggy and the hole for her little butt is spacious and allows her to pee and poop without a mess.- GET THE GREY OPTION. The Grey color option has snap buttons on the back to secure the cat suit and is much more comfortable than the other versions which has a long piece of velcro. The snaps are more flexible and don't attract cat hair. The snaps also are easier to secure when you have a squiggly cat, just button them up instead of trying to align a velcro strip- My cat is so much more comfortable with this cat suit than a cone! In the cone she was miserable and bumping into stuff, catching the cone on the floor and tripping, on the edge of a wall or corner. The sides of her legs were even getting a bit raw where the cone was rubbing it as she tried to clean herself. This cat suit gives her freedome of movement and allows her to cuddle on my chest without a cone (which has had dips in her litter and water fountain due to it being so big) being smashed into my face.- Lightweight fabric, but sturdy. This fabric won't overheat my cat. Its' winter right now and my apartment is toasty, but the suit is breezy enough to not cause temperature problems.- Perfect coverage over my cat's hotspot on her tummy. She can't lick through or around the suit.Cons:- None!I had no idea they made cat suits instead of cones! I am so mad at myself for just discovering these were a thing. I will never go back to cones every again!★★★★★★★★★By Miki
I took in a street gremlin and had her spayed last summer. I hadn't planned well and ended up getting a onesie to prevent her from licking the wound. A preemie onesie was too small and a 0-3 months was too large, so I had to modify the 0-3 with safety pins. She wore this for two weeks straight, the poor thing, but we all survived the spaying! Overall it was a pain in both mine and my cat's ass, as the onesie was loose as a shirt and she would take it off from time to time, but you know what? It worked way better than this suit. Some months later, I take in another stray. "This time I'll be prepared," I said. Well in advance, I bought two of these in S and M, because I didn't know which would be the best fit for this cat. She was around 10 months old, and the M ended up being the better fit. However, she took it off by herself in an hour. I would put it on again and she would wake me up in the middle of the night to show me that she had taken it off. I tried tightening it with safety pins. I tried not sleeping to check on her at all hours. Nothing worked. She would slither until she got rid of it over her head. Two days after the surgery, I tossed the thing and ended up using the $2 onesie my first cat had used. She took that off too, but I would have liked to know how easy it was for the cat to take off this suit before shelling out the money for it.My recommendation: either get a more expensive surgery suit that covers extremities, or get onesies and safety pins from a dollar store for a fraction of the cost.★★★★★★★★★By Kevin Roman Morales
Great product. I bought this in preparation for my kittens spay surgery. As you can see in the photo I added an iron on patch to the outside to add more protection in case the kittens decided to bother their stitches through the material, but they haven’t. I’ve had to use cones before and not one cat accepted them very well. These have made my life and theirs less stressful while they heal. Once my kitties no longer need them I will donate them to a rescue. For reference my kitten is about 7lbs and is wearing a medium.★★★★★★★★★By kt
